Growing Together with Our Customers, Business Partners, and Employees
TECHNO ROLL was founded in September 1979 by our late Chairman, Hiroshi Nishiwaki. Thanks to the support of our valued customers and esteemed business partners, we have continued to grow over the past 45 years.
When I first joined the company, my employee number was 14—meaning we were a small company of just 14 employees. Today, our workforce has grown to 145, a testament to the contributions of our customers, business partners, and the dedicated employees who worked alongside our late Chairman, Hiroshi Nishiwaki. I feel that we have truly become a significant company. Honoring his vision, I am committed to continuing our growth and development.
My personal motto is: “If it’s not enjoyable, it’s not work!” I strive to create an environment where our employees can work with enthusiasm and joy.
Looking at our business, we have been manufacturing and selling printing rollers—our core business—since our founding. Over the past 45 years, we have continuously improved material compositions and performance in response to changes in printing technology. As a result, we have achieved industry-leading performance, precision, quality, and customer satisfaction through our superior sales support.
On the technical side, we possess expertise in mechanical design, electrical design, and chemical engineering. Our ability to develop new machinery and chemical products in-house, without delays, is one of our greatest strengths.
We have established strong, win-win relationships with our licensees and business partners in 12 countries worldwide. As we continue to expand our global network, we remain committed to pursuing our ambitious vision. By staying attuned to global trends and staying one step ahead of the industry, we aim to introduce Japan’s exceptional technology and innovation to the world.

1980

October 1980Mr. Hiroshi Nishiwaki incorporates Techno Roll with capital of 10 million yen at Takaishi City, Osaka. Techno Roll concludes a technical cooperation agreement with JOMAC INC., from the United States, and begins manufacture and sale of the resin roller “Ryno” for high quality printing.

August 1982The company relocates to Izumi City, Osaka, expanding production and sales.

April 1986Techno Roll develops the self-adhesive rubber “Clean Dash” as a dust removing roller contributing to increase yield in the metal printing industry.

April 1989Established the Tokyo branch of Techno Roll in Kawagoe City, Saitama.

October 1989Techno Roll increases in capital to 15 million yen. Develops and manufactures the UV printing roller “TRUST UV” and automatic dust removing device “DUST HUNTER”.
1990

July 1990Techno Roll develops the special dampening sleeve “Water Sleeve” in cooperation with JOMAC INC. and Nichiyo Keori Co., Ltd. Sales begin overseas as well as in Japan.

April 1992Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with SAM HWA Ind. Co. Ltd. of Korea, and they start to manufacture and sell “TRUST UV” in Korea.

September 1993Techno Roll develops and markets the hickey removing rollers “Hickey Sweeper W” and “Hickey Sweeper S” for use in offset printing.

April 1995Techno Roll increases in capital to 25 million yen and the technical department staff begins to use personal computers and CAD for enriching and speeding up design work.

May 1996Develop Total ink control and supply system “TICASS” and start to install it in Can-printing machine.

April 1997Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with Brissett Rollers Pty. Ltd. of Australia, and they start to manufacture and sell “TRUST UV” in Australia.

December 1997Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with Hammerking Rollers Ltd. of New Zealand, and they start to manufacture and sell “TRUST UV” in New Zealand.

April 1998Received the “Creative Technology R&D Subsidy” from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) for research on fully equipping a B2-size two-color press with the “TICASS” system.

September 1998Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with Yi Tsai Enterprise Co.,Ltd. of Taiwan, and they start to manufacture and sell “TRUST UV” in Taiwan.

October 2001Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with Shanghai SBJ Roller Co.,Ltd. of China, and they start to manufacture and sell “TRUST roller” in China from April 2002. Techno Roll concludes a 15% investment in Shanghai SBJ Roller.

April 2002Techno Roll concludes a technical licensing agreement with Westland Gummiwerke GmbH & Co., KG. of Germany, and begins exclusive manufacture and sale of the special rubber roller “WERO series” in Japan.
